Introduction
Jucker Farm (Juckerhof) is a great place to spend time in nature while on your family adventures, where you can do lots of activities. The farm is famous for the pumpkin sculptures that you can see exposed in the fall, starting early September, but also famous for a very good farm shop, a tasty restaurant, a labyrinth for kids between apple trees, a tasty bakery and many more. All with a beautiful sight towards Pfäffikersee, where you can also go for a swim or just walk along the lake.
Getting to the farm
If you want to visit Jucker Farm (Juckerhof), the adress is Dorfstrasse 23, 8607 Seegräben and there is a parking place right next to it. Here is the exact Google Maps location of the parking place. It is not free, but also not at all expensive. Sometimes, during fall season the parking can be full during weekends – and also the road to getting here might be blocked – in that case, a second best parking option is here in Aathal and then you have a moderately 1.2 km walk up to the farm.
One day at the farm
Most people spend here between 2-5 hours, but you could also stay less than that or the entire day – it all depends on how your day goes and the period when you plan going. The farm is open 365 days a year and there are different opening times based on each season. You can check the opening times on the Jucker Farm website.
We came here more than once, but this time we went in the first weekend from September so that we can see the pumpkin sculptures and thousands of pumpkins of various colours, sizes and forms that you can also buy. There is a lot of colour in these pumpkins and the way they are arranged. The kids really like playing with and around them. Also the pictures turn out very nice. There are also lots of food varieties made of pumpkins that are very tasty, I would not recommend one in particular but you can try whatever attracts you, from pumpkin soups to bread etc. There are also great fresh drinks, from natural apple juice to artisanal beer and anything in between.
The pictures below will give you a better idea of how it is and how you can plan your day if you want to visit the Jucker Farm. You can also share this post with a friend if you think they might enjoy visiting the farm. Enjoy!
