Part of continental Tanzania, this tropical paradise is renowned for its pristine white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and vibrant coral reefs. The main islands of Unguja and Pemba, along with numerous smaller islets, collectively form Zanzibar. Steeped in history, the Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site on Unguja, reflects a blend of African, Arab, Indian, and European influences, evident in its architecture, culture, and cuisine. Faroe Islands

Faroe Islands, which is a group of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, brings in a total different blend, no matter if we’re talking about the fact that here is almost never night time (there is a very good amount of light during night), or about the maximum temperatures of 12-14 degrees Celsius during summer time, or the secluded villages in corners of the island where time stops and you feel an experience that I can’t even describe in words.

The Faroe Islands are known for their stunning natural beauty and unique cultural experiences. Here are several reasons why you might consider visiting the Faroe Islands:

  1. Breathtaking Landscapes: dramatic landscapes, characterized by steep cliffs, rugged coastlines, and lush green valleys with fantastic opportunities for hiking and photography.
  2. Natural Wonders: home to various natural wonders, including the famous sea stacks like Drangarnir and Tindholmur, as well as breathtaking waterfalls such as Mulafossur.
  3. Birdwatching: The Faroe Islands are a paradise for birdwatchers. The islands are home to numerous seabirds, including puffins, guillemots, and fulmars. Mykines, one of the islands, is particularly famous for its bird cliffs and puffin colonies.
  4. Photography opportunities: a photographer’s dream, with ever-changing weather, stunning landscapes, and unique lighting conditions. Whether you’re an amateur or a professional photographer, you’ll find plenty of inspiration here.
  5. Low population density: The Faroe Islands have a relatively low population density, making them an excellent destination for those seeking tranquility and a break from the hustle and bustle of more crowded tourist destinations.

It’s worth noting that the weather in the Faroe Islands can be unpredictable, and it’s essential to be prepared for varying conditions. Additionally, the islands are remote, which adds to their charm but also requires careful planning for travel. You can find here all details about our experience in The Faroe Islands.
