Stoos hike details

This is a very popular hike and you will meet many people on the route. Families with small kids or people that don’t want to do a lot of elevation hiking, can also start the route on the ridge, going from Kilngenstock – Fronalpstock or vice-versa. This will make the hike duration much shorter and effort much lower. We also did only the ridge part one time, and here you can see the post with some more details and photos about it.

If you want to see more details about the weather, location, funicular tickets or operating times and many more, you ca do so here, on their website. We have also embedded at the end of the post our Strava route, in case you want to see more technical details or location.

Tip: During summer time there are long waiting lines for buying the tickets from the cash desks, so we recommend buying them online in advance.

Conclusion

We return every time joyous to Stoos in the heart of the Swiss Alps, because this hike is always a great adventure. Whether you seek challenging ascents or tranquil moments, you’ll have it all. So lace up your boots, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and let the alpine beauty unfold before you.
