There’s something magical about Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s a land where history, culture, and nature blend harmoniously, making it an ideal destination for a family vacation. Our recent trip to Sicily was filled with stunning landscapes, ancient ruins, delicious food, and heartwarming experiences. Here’s a glimpse into our unforgettable journey.
We stayed on the northern coast, somwhere between Palermo and Cefalu and got a chance to visit all the interesting areas around. Since it was early April, the weather was perfect and the island not very crowded, since most of the tourists usually arrive in the summer. Considering the very hot temperatures during the summer, the pre-season period is perfect for visiting Sicily. There are also a lot of discounts that you can find, from great hotel deals to car rentals, boat trips and so on.
There are many attractions that you can visit while in Sicily, one of the most known being Etna Volcano, but we haven’t got the chance to get there this time, as the volcano was starting to eliminate vapors and fumes. The places we recommend visiting while on the northern coast are Cefalu, Palermo and Castellammare del Golfo and many small villages around.
